Cheese or Chalk
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
This is a tiny little game I made for the thinky puzzle jam 3! The idea was to make a thinky game that was optionally connected to the theme of 'Cheese and Chalk'; A phrase which in english refers to two things being completely different from one another.
I took the theme quite literally, and make a little game where you distinguish between a word being related to 'Cheese' or 'Chalk'! The relation ranges from 'A type of cheese' to something like 'A company which produces chalk'.
The player is given 40 seconds to decide, and each time they succeed it ticks down by .5, until they reach the point where they're only given 2 seconds.
Controls are simple either A and D, or Left and Right arrow.
Left for Cheese
Right for Chalk
As for how to get the game working, just scroll down, and download! It'll come in a zip. If windows defender pops up, you click 'more info' and Run anyway.
(This tends to happen with non-notarised games)

Really cool game and I love the polishment in sound and visuals! Neat music choise aswell! My only critique is that you have to control the UI with the mouse for a game that's otherwhise only played with a keyboard
Yeah. I wasn't super happy with the main menu, but I couldn't nail down a design that properly worked for just keyboard with the left or right motif.
simple and fantastic, but wow, some words are really tough to guess!! well done Pip! amazing game again
